Terry Jolley, Conductor

Tennessee Valley Winds - Terry Jolley, Conductor Terry Jolley is currently co-director of the Siegel Middle School Band. Prior to this appointment, he served as co-director at Blackman High School in Murfreesboro for two years and the Associate Director of bands at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro for six years. Before taking the position at MTSU, he was co-director of bands at John Overton High School in Nashville, Tn, and served as director of bands at Warren County High School in McMinnville, TN.

Mr. Jolley serves as a guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator throughout the Southeast, is an active consultant for numerous bands. Terry is currently the conductor of the Tennessee Valley Winds: an adult community band based in Murfreesboro, TN. He is also a member of the Band of Blue Alumni Club and holds the office of Past-President. His company, Jolley & Associates, Inc. provides educational support to many high school and college bands throughout the region and is a sponsor of a regional leadership camp, Positive Performance Concepts. He has published drill designer with Arranger's Publishing Company and has published arrangements with Row-loff Productions. He has served as Director of The Governor's School for the Arts, served on the staff of Memphis Sound Drum Corps and now serves on the board for the Music City Youth in Performing Arts.

Mr. Jolley has been awarded four citations of excellence by the National Band Association, was selected to Who's Who Among American Teachers on four occasions, was the recipient of the National Collegiate Music Award in 1998, and was inducted into the MTSU Band of Blue Club Hall of Fame in 2000.
